Do you have a friend or family member who’s a blogger but you’re not sure what to get them for Christmas or their Birthday? Being a blogger myself I know exactly what they want so you should take my advice 
. I thought long and hard and here are the gifts I wouldn’t mind.
What About a Google Chromebook?
The Chromebook can be a bloggers perfect companion. This laptop is designed for cloud computing, what’s that? Cloud computing is the idea of using files and software that’s available through the internet. One version of cloud computing you probably use on a regular basis is video sites like Youtube. Traditional computing would mean you’d have to download a video and use software on your computer to watch it. With cloud computing you can now watch videos straight from your browser. That’s the idea behind the Chromebook. It gives you all the files and software you need straight from a browser. Many of the apps are available offline so they can even get work done without an internet connection.
Pass to a Sweet Blogger Conference
Blogger conferences are a great place for bloggers to meetup, talk, learn and share tips and strategies. There are many conferences every year and there’s a good chance there’s one in a city near your friend or family member.
Gift Card for the Local Coffee Shop
Blogging around the house can get boring or even lead to writers block. Why not get your blogger a gift card to a local coffee shop to get them out of the house. Changing your surroundings can really help get ideas you may of never had. I’d support the small business man and get a gift card for a local place.
Some Awesome Podcast Equipment
Maybe your blogger does a podcast or would like to done but doesn’t have the right equipment. If their podcasts don’t have the best sound then think about getting them a better microphone. Here’s a nice list of microphones under $100.
If they’d like to start video blogging then a HD camcorder might make a really great gift. you may also want to think about getting them a stand since they’ll need to set the camera on a steady surface. Hey even a nice smartphone could be enough for some podcasting starters.
Other Ideas
- Try searching for some fun blogger t-shirts.
- Purchase an Amazon gift card so they can choose some blogger books or get some equipment.
